Job summary

Voyage Care in Peterborough is looking for compassionate caregivers to support people in a welcoming, supported living service. You will help individuals build independence and confidence while assisting with daily living tasks and community activities.

Hours include a variety of shifts from 8am to 3pm and 3pm to 10pm, with nights available. The role offers enhanced pay for evenings and weekends and opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with autism or related needs is beneficial.
• Care values, attitude and genuine desire to make a difference matter most.
• Previous care experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Empower independence and support clients to achieve their goals.

Rate of Pay
£12.84 per hour, up to £13.84 with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements (Ts & Cs apply)

Your Role

You'll support people in a welcoming supported living service, helping them develop independence, confidence and everyday life skills.

You'll:

• Empower independence, no matter how big or small the step
• Support with personal care and daily living
• Encourage people to access their local community
• Offer emotional support and reassurance
• Help people work towards their individual goals
• Follow Positive Behaviour Support plans and use reflective practice
• Help people feel heard, respected and valued

No two days are the same. You could be supporting someone to cook dinner or go on holiday, or spending time together playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.
