Job summary

Voyage Care in Peterborough is seeking a dedicated care assistant to support people in a welcoming supported living service. You will help individuals develop independence, confidence and everyday life skills.

You will empower independence, assist with personal care and daily living, encourage community involvement, provide emotional support and help people work towards their goals, following Positive Behaviour Support plans.

Rate of Pay
£12.84 per hour, up to £13.84 with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements (Ts & Cs apply)

Your Role

You'll support people in a welcoming supported living service, helping them develop independence, confidence and everyday life skills.

You'll:

• Empower independence, no matter how big or small the step
• Support with personal care and daily living
• Encourage people to access their local community
• Offer emotional support and reassurance
• Help people work towards their individual goals
• Follow Positive Behaviour Support plans and use reflective practice
• Help people feel heard, respected and valued

No two days are the same. You could be supporting someone to cook dinner or go on holiday, or spending time together playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.
