Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking caring, hands-on Support Workers for a residential service in Exmouth. You will help people aged 18+ with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism and complex needs to gain more independence and enjoy daily activities within a supportive team.

The role involves teaching life skills, assisting with personal care, and encouraging community engagement, shopping trips, outings, cinema visits and leisure activities. A genuine caring attitude and flexibility are key.

Job description

Typical Shifts are: Working Monday - Sunday 08:00-20:30 and covering nights when required.

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our lovely residential service in Exmouth enjoys the facilities of the sea side town and its own enclosed garden. It has a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! This role is supporting individuals aged 18 and above with a range of Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Autism and complex needs. You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support shopping, sailing, swimming, the next you could be unwinding with them watching films or going to the cinema.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.
