Job summary

Active Assistance in Oswestry is recruiting a female Support Worker to join our in-home care team. You will support a client with complex needs, providing 2:1 care, helping with personal care, meals, and light housekeeping, and joining a friendly team on day or night shifts.

Training is provided, with a clear path to ongoing support and development.

Qualifications

  • Care-related duties including personal care and hygiene.
  • Moving and handling with equipment like hoists.
  • Ability to drive for community outings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care, meals, and light housekeeping.
  • Support on day and night shifts, including weekends as needed.

While hours are usually stable, the position is offered on a zero-hours contract as care packages can change.When You'll Be WorkingDay Shifts: 8am – 8pmWaking Night Shifts: 8pm – 8amFull-time & part-time availableSome weekend work requiredWhat You’ll Be DoingYou'll be part of a friendly care team providing 2:1 support for our client, helping with:Personal care (bed washing, dressing, hair washing)Passive exerciseBladder and stoma careMeal prepLight housekeeping (hoovering, laundry, etc.)Trips out & appointmentsMoving & handling (with a free-standing hoist)Bonus for drivers! A full, clean UK licence is required so you can drive her car on community outings.No experience? No worries!
