Active Care Group in Barnstaple, Devon, is recruiting a part-time Support Worker to join a brand-new home care team supporting a non-verbal young woman with learning disabilities. Shifts are double-up with another worker, and you’ll help her settle back home from a residential setting.

The role offers a two-week rolling pattern, with Week 1 Monday–Tuesday daytime and Week 2 off, and potential to move to a 24-hour bi-weekly contract after probation.

Qualifications

  • Experience in care or supportive roles preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team with another support worker.
  • Compassionate, dependable and patient approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist care when client returns home from residential setting.
  • Support client's daily living and routines in home.
  • Work in pairs on every shift to ensure safety.
