Job summary

Prudent Supported Living Limited in Manchester is hiring caring, experienced staff to provide compassionate, person-centred care in single-occupancy homes. Shifts are 12 hours, with full-time hours and permanent contracts. You’ll support service users with personal care, medication supervision and community integration, in a 4-day induction starting 29/9/25.

Qualification requirements include GCSE or equivalent; experience in mental health support work is preferred. Sponsorship is not available.

We’re currently recruiting staff to support our service users in the Manchester area. As we continue to expand, we need new team members to help us provide the highest level of support to the amazing people we work with. If you think you’re the right fit, read on and get in touch!

Our service users all live in single occupancy homes, supported by a dedicated team working 12-hour shifts. You’ll be working in the person’s home, providing the highest standard of care and support.

We are looking for experienced people who want to make a real difference in a person’s life. Be the difference every day by providing compassionate, person-centred care, building life skills, and empowering the people we support to live with choice, dignity, and independence.

You will provide emotional and practical support to the individuals we support, assisting and promoting personal care needs in a sensitive and appropriate manner.

Medication is an important responsibility that you will be fully trained to handle, ensuring all aspects of medication management comply with CQC requirements. You will also support service users to achieve as much independence as possible in all areas of their lives by providing appropriate information, opportunities, training, and encouragement.

  • Participate in the opportunities provided for training and development.

You are required to complete a care certificate in the first 12 weeks of the role if you have not already completed this. You will then be enrolled to work towards and gain your level 3 in Health and social care if you do not already have this qualification. This is a requirement of all staff.

  • Help cover the work of the team, during absence, vacancies, of when a colleague is under pressure.
  • Liaise and coordinate with other team members to provide a cohesive, high quality service and ensure that CQC legislation and guidelines are followed.
  • Participate in and contribute to team meetings.
  • Share with other team member’s previous experience, skills and knowledge, which may be relevant to the team in providing its service.
  • Be supportive, respectful and empathic to service users, colleagues and visitors.
