Job summary

Codi is seeking a compassionate Support Worker in Llanelli to assist three ladies with mental health needs. The role is 16 hours per week (part-time) with an additional sleep-in shift.

You’ll help with daily living, skills development and emotional support, in a warm, dedicated team. The service operates around the clock, requiring flexibility to cover days, evenings, weekends and sleep-ins, with training provided and DBS support.

Qualifications

• Experience in care, cleaning or laundry environments is desirable but not essential.
• Experience working with people or customers.
• Experience working as part of a team.
• IT, literacy and numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

• Support with medication, cooking and household tasks.
• Help individuals with personal care when needed.
• Assist access to the community and attend local groups.
• Encourage participation in hobbies and activities.
• Be a proactive team player with clear communication.

This supported living service is the home to 3 lovely ladies with mental health needs. You will be working with these incredible individuals to support with day to day independence, enhance their various skills and support them with daily activities as well as providing emotional support. Duties could Include:

• Supporting with medication, cooking, and household tasks
• Helping with personal care where needed
• Help individuals access the community and attend local groups, Encouraging participation in hobbies and activities
• Be a proactive team player with strong communication skills
• Keeping clear and accurate digital records
• Support individuals with budgeting and managing finances
• Building meaningful companionship and promote independence by engaging in conversations around interests and wellbeing, and encouraging participation in fun, skill-building activities
• Accompany individuals on outings
• Assist with cleaning and digital administrative duties
• Contribute fresh ideas and help improve ways of working
• Offer tailored support based on each individual's unique needs
  We're looking for a passionate and caring person to join our dedicated team of Support Workers in our Supported Living Service in Llanelli. This is a 16-hour permanent part-time role, with an additional sleep-in shift (Day shifts typically run from 7am to 11pm) Our service operates 24/7, so flexibility is essential. You'll work a rolling rota covering days, evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts Important Requirements: Willingness to lone work during day shift and sleep in shift 2 individuals in this service do smoke, we ask that applicants consider this before applying. • £25,877 (£13.45 per hour)
• Sleep-in rate: £62.64 per 8 hour shift - approx. 1 per week.
• Waking night rate: 20% Enhancement from 11pm to 7am
• Enhanced DBS which we will pay for
• Social Care Wales registration is fully reimbursed
