About The Role

Support Worker - Llanelli - Full Time - Blaen-Y-Waun, 39 hours a week plus sleep ins - Hourly Rate from £12.60 to £12.80 (Plus £55 per sleep-in), dependent on qualifications and experience (Driver essential)

We are a leading organisation dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to young people who have experienced childhood trauma, are struggling with mental health issues, or both. Our mission is to make a positive impact on their lives, fostering growth and enhancing well-being. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team and support these incredible children.

Join us at our welcoming home in Blaen Y Waun, where your nurturing spirit and patience can make a real difference. Your role will involve guiding children through their educational journey, supporting them in daily activities, and organizing engaging outings.

A typical day includes:
  • Providing high-quality care to children and young people.
  • Meeting their physical and emotional needs in a supportive environment.
  • Being a positive role model.
  • Promoting independence through social, educational, and work-based activities.
  • Collaborating to tailor support to individual needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records of activities, progress, and incidents.
  • Performing general housekeeping duties, including meal preparation.
Requirements:
  • A positive, resilient attitude.
  • Previous care experience is preferred but not essential.
  • A valid driver’s license is required due to the remote location and lack of public transport; driving through narrow country lanes may be necessary.
  • Compassion and empathy.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
  • Reliability.

Please note: This role involves regulated activity with children and requires an enhanced DBS check with barred list clearance.
