Job Description:

Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives? Vetro is seeking experienced Learning Disability Support Workers in Llanelli and surrounding areas, on an ad-hoc basis. The role involves supporting service users aged 18 and above with autism and complex needs, assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and engaging in community activities.

Overview:

• Title: Adults Learning Disability Support Worker
• Job Type: Temporary
• Training: Practical Manual Handling training preferred (available at subsidised cost)
• Shifts: Ad hoc, temporary, temp to perm, part-time, full-time
• Pay: £13.68 per hour (including holidays)
• Requirements: Full UK driving license preferred

The Role:

You will provide therapeutic care and support to individuals with autistic spectrum conditions and complex needs, observing, monitoring, and recording their conditions, treating each with dignity, compassion, and honesty. The goal is to help them progress towards independent living, supported by a multidisciplinary team.

Candidate Requirements:

• Desire to create positive outcomes for adults with learning disabilities
• Empathetic, caring, resilient nature
• Minimum 6 months experience in UK social care setting
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK
