Job summary

Agincare Weymouth's Harrison Court service is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help individuals with learning disabilities and hearing impairments live more independent lives. You will provide person-centred support, assist with daily routines, and help people access community activities.

No previous BSL Level 2 is required, but training is provided; candidates with BSL Level 2 or readiness to learn earn higher pay (£14.25/h).

Qualifications

• A calm, patient and caring approach with the willingness to learn and build trust.
• Experience in a care or support role.
• A willingness to learn and use British Sign Language (BSL).
• Existing BSL Level 2 qualification desirable but not essential.
• A team player who values consistency.
• A Full UK driving licence.
• At least 12 months remaining on your right to work in the UK.
• Excellent career development opportunities and fully funded training up to QCF Level 5

For your support, we offer:

• £13.45 per hour for Support Workers who do not currently hold BSL (British Sign Language) Level 2.
• Successful candidates will complete mandatory BSL training as part of their induction.
• £14.25 per hour for Support Workers who already hold BSL Level 2 or meet the enhanced BSL requirements.
