Job summary

Voyage Care Leatherhead is seeking a Part Time Support Worker to help people gain independence and improve daily living skills within a friendly team. You will support personal care, encourage community access and social activities in a residential setting.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, resilience and a flexible approach to a 20 hour contract with varied shifts. DBS and references apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Be resilient, flexible and composed in approach.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Help people gain more independence in their daily lives within a supportive team.
• Teach new life skills and assist with personal care.
• Encourage access to local communities, socialising and activities.
• Occasional outings with service users to bars, pubs, cinema or at home activities like games and films.

Part Time Support Worker – Leatherhead - £13.88 to £15.38 per hour with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements (Ts & Cs apply)

20 hour contract
Typical Shifts are mixed so need to be flexible.

Our residential service nursing service in Leatherhead is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving licence, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
