Job summary

Voyage Care in Leicester is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help people with autism and acquired brain injury live more independently. You’ll support daily living, personal care, and community activities in a warm, supportive team.

Full UK driving license is preferred. No previous experience necessary, as our training starts at induction and offers progression within a compassionate, value-driven organisation.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans.
• Experience working with autism, acquired brain injury, and complex mental health needs.

Support Worker – Leicester - £12.72 per hour

Typical Shifts are: 7.30am to 2.30pm - 2.30pm to 9.30pm

As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) service Willowbrook in Leicester is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local restaurants and attending appointments, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex individuals with mental health needs, and challenging behaviours.
