Job summary

Cygnet Elowen Hospital in Derbyshire is hiring a Support Worker. No previous healthcare experience is needed, as training and support are provided. You will support adults with eating disorders and complex needs across two wards at a new 24-bed facility.

Shifts include days (8:00–20:00) and nights (19:30–08:30), totaling 42 hours per week. This is a rewarding entry into healthcare with continuous training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for residents.
• Provide physical and emotional support to individuals.
• Learn each person's needs and respond appropriately.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs as required.
• Report on medical and welfare needs when needed.
• Safeguard residents and maintain safety throughout shifts.
• Keep environments clean and safe for all.

This service offers a safe and secure care pathway tailored for individuals with eating disorders, as well as those with complex personality disorders with disordered eating across two specialist wards. As a Support Worker, you'll build meaningful relationships, learn valuable healthcare skills, and play an important role in improving the lives of those in our care. You'll be working 42 hours a week (Day shift: 8 am - 8 pm and Night shift: 19:30 - 8:30 am), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Hospital Elowen.

Your day-to-day

• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
