Job summary

Cygnet Appletree near Durham is seeking a confident Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care. Youll be working 42 hours a week (12 hour shifts, both day and night shifts), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Appletree.

Starting pay rate £13.15 per/hour, post probation £13.45 per/hr, and then £13.70per/hour post 18 months. The opportunity to earn between £29-32000 per annum as one of our full time support workers at Cygnet Appletree.

Responsibilities

• Support both management and team in daily running of the service.
• Allocate duties effectively and safely.
• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all in our care.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals' specific needs and provide help appropriately.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs and report as required.
• Safeguard and maintain a safe, clean environment for all.

Cygnet Appletree, near Durham, is a mental health hospital for women that includes Pippin Ward, a specialist PICU service and Bramley Ward, an intensive support service for women with a personality disorder and complex mental health needs.
