Elysium Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for Alexandra Gardens in Hounslow. Join a caring team delivering person-centred care to residents with mental health needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in care settings, with a focus on mental health, is desirable.
• Duties include supporting daily living, hygiene, and recovery.
• DBS disclosure is a safety requirement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ward rounds, assess behaviours, and adapt care with the team.
• Update patient records and maintain accurate documentation.
• Provide care and support, including personal hygiene when needed.

What you will be doing

You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with a range of Mental Health conditions , using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.

Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.

This is a permanent full-time position, 37.5 weekly hours, will work on shifts between the hours of 7am and 10 pm including every other weekend shift a month on rotas.
We are encouraging male drivers candidates to apply for this role to efficiently support our male residents. Drivers are preferred to use the company vehicle supporting with the activities.

Where you will be working

13 Alexandra Gardens is a twelve bed, mixed gender, community based service.

The property comprises of eight beds in the main house and four self-contained flats for people who may not be able to live in larger groups.

The people who are supported at 13 Alexandra Gardens have severe learning disabilities, autism and associated health needs with behaviours which due to their diagnosis may be seen as challenging.

The service is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by a dedicated team made up of the Registered Manager and Support Workers.
