At Whiteinch, we support adults in recovery as they take positive steps towards living independently. Our small residential service in Glasgow’s west end offers a safe, welcoming space where people can build confidence, develop life skills, and plan for the future. If you believe in encouragement, community connection, and helping people make lasting change, this could be the role for you.
What’s involved?
As part of our close-knit team, you will help residents settle in, develop their strengths, and feel ready to move on. You will support people to manage their tenancy, access stable accommodation, and maintain their recovery. Day to day, your role could include:
Building trusting relationships with residents
Supporting daily routines and independent living skills
Encouraging involvement in the local community
Advocating for individuals at meetings with other services
Helping with group work, if trained
Supporting health needs and promoting wellbeing
Working within an abstinence-based service, including drug and alcohol testing

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
