Job summary

Priory is seeking a compassionate Support Worker for our Ravenlea residential service in Folkestone, Kent. The role involves providing person‑centred care to residents with learning disabilities or autism and driving site vehicles for outings and appointments as needed.

You will be part of a dedicated team ensuring residents live with dignity, independence and choice, supported by training and career development opportunities within Priory.

Qualifications

  • Experience in care or support work is desirable but training will be provided.

Department: Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers

Location: Ravenlea

Compensation: £13.45 / hour

Ravenlea is a residential service in Folkestone, Kent. We support six males and females who have a learning disability or are autistic. We are set on a residential street, near the town centre.

Our team are dedicated to providing the right level of support to allow the people we care for to live a more fulfilling and independent future. We provide a homely setting, with person-centred touches throughout so our residents can reach their full potential and live their best life.

We are looking for someone who holds a valid driving licence, as the role requires driving our site vehicles (both manual and automatic) to transport our residents on outings and appointments when needed.

What you'll be doing

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will provide the highest standard of person-centred support and care, enabling the people who use our service to live with dignity, independence, and choice.

Support workers are key workers, and provide direct support to our service users in support them to live there best lives. Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

You will play a vital part in helping individuals achieve their personal goals, supporting them in daily living, and empowering them to realise their potential.

Key Responsibilities
