Job summary

Real Life Options is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker at Longcroft Care Home to provide overnight care and reassurance. This role is 36 hours per week, paying £13.45 per hour, with a rota that includes alternate weekends. Training and development are offered to help you grow in the role.

As part of a compassionate team, you’ll deliver high-quality care, monitor wellbeing, and respond to emergencies throughout the night, ensuring residents feel safe and respected at all times.

What Your Night Will Look Like

No two nights are the same, but your role will include:

  • Providing overnight support, including personal care where required
  • Monitoring wellbeing and ensuring a safe, calm environment
  • Administering medication in line with support plans
  • Completing regular checks and accurate record-keeping
  • Responding to any needs or emergencies with confidence and care
  • Supporting individuals to maintain their independence and dignity

You’ll work independently during the night, with the reassurance of being part of a wider, supportive team.

Important Information

This role is Regulated Work with Vulnerable Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. A PVG check is required.
