Job summary

Cygnet Wallace Hospital in Dundee is seeking a confident Support Worker to join a 42-hour week, rotating day and night shifts. You’ll support individuals with learning disabilities, with or without autistic spectrum disorder, and various complex needs in a 18-bed high-dependency unit.

PVG check required; competitive benefits and career development on offer. Role involves providing physical and emotional support, safeguarding, and maintaining a safe environment while aligning with individual care

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Empathetic, patient and committed to supporting service users.
  • Willing to undergo enhanced PVG check.

Responsibilities

  • Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
  • Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
  • Learn about individuals’ specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way.
  • Assist with medical & welfare needs.
  • Report on medical & welfare needs as required.
  • Safeguard.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment for all.

Be a part of it..We are looking for a confident Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care.You’ll be working 42 hours a week (12 hour shifts, day and night shifts ), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Wallace Hospital.Situated in a residential area of Dundee, Cygnet Wallace Hospital is an 18 bed specialist high dependency complex care service providing assessment and treatment for individuals with learning disabilities, with or without autistic spectrum disorder, as well as complex needs and behaviours.The team can also support those who have additional mental or physical health needs, as well as those who have been detained under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act.
