Job summary

CYGNET in Widnes is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our all-male neuropsychiatric hospital. You will provide compassionate, person-centred care across day and night shifts, including weekends, with a structured rota and a focus on rehabilitation.

A DBS check is required and you will be supported by ongoing training and development. We offer an increased hourly rate from £13.15 to £13.45 after 3 months and £13.70 after 18 months, plus employee discounts and on-site benefits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Enhanced DBS check is required.

Responsibilities

  • Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
  • Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
  • Learn about individuals’ specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way.
  • Assist with medical & welfare needs.
  • Report on medical & welfare needs as required.
  • Safeguard.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment for all.

Then the following week, working days are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The service provides a dedicated care pathway for men affected by acquired brain injury or neurological conditions, where behaviours that challenge are the overarching impairment to recovery and rehabilitation.Supporting the level 1 Neuropsychiatric Rehabilitation Pathway for the North West, with a focus exclusively on Adult Males.
