Job summary

Cygnet Wallace Hospital in Dundee is seeking a confident Support Worker to provide high-quality care for residents with learning disabilities and complex needs. The role involves 42 hours per week across 12-hour day and night shifts, delivering physical and emotional support and contributing to a safe, caring environment.

Starting pay is £13.61 per hour, with progression to £13.81 after probation and £14.01 after 18 months, including benefits and employee discounts.

Qualifications

  • Experience in care or health and social care settings.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must complete enhanced PVG check.

  • Learn about individuals' needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.

We're looking for a confident Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

You'll be working 42 hours a week (12 hour shifts, day and night shifts), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Wallace Hospital.

Situated in a residential area of Dundee, Cygnet Wallace Hospital is an 18 bed specialist high dependency complex care service providing assessment and treatment for individuals with learning disabilities, with or without autistic spectrum disorder, as well as complex needs and behaviours.

The team can also support those who have additional mental or physical health needs, as well as those who have been detained under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act. We accept emergency referrals and the team are experienced in managing them quickly and efficiently to ensure transition for service users is as smooth as possible.
