Job summary

Duties include: Supporting clients to develop the skills and confidence needed to progress towards independent living, completing strengths and needs assessments to identify goals, and promoting engagement in activities

Qualifications

• At least 6 months' paid experience in a support worker or care role.
• Excellent communication skills, tact and empathy.
• Flexible approach to working shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support clients to develop the skills and confidence needed to progress towards independent living.
• Complete strengths and needs assessments alongside clients to identify their goals, aspirations, and the support required to achieve them.
• Encourage and motivate clients to engage in meaningful daytime activities, including skills development, training, volunteering, employment, and healthy lifestyle activities.
• Provide person-centred support while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
• Build positive relationships with clients and work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies.
