Support clients to develop skills and confidence for independent living while promoting dignity and wellbeing, with a flexible rota and opportunities for permanent roles.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months' paid experience in a support worker or care role.
• Excellent communication skills with tact, empathy, and sensitivity.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and confidently manage challenging behaviour.
• Flexible approach to working shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supporting clients to develop skills and confidence for independent living.
• Completing strengths and needs assessments with clients to identify goals.
• Encouraging participation in daytime activities including training, volunteering, and employment.
• Providing person-centred support while promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing.

Duties include:

Supporting clients to develop the skills and confidence needed to progress towards independent living.

Completing strengths and needs assessments alongside clients to identify their goals, aspirations, and the support required to achieve them.

Encouraging and motivating clients to engage in meaningful daytime activities, including skills development, training, volunteering, employment, and healthy lifestyle activities.

Providing person-centred support while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.

Building positive relationships with clients and working collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies.

To apply, you should have:
