Job summary

Search Consultancy is recruiting experienced Support Workers to join our agency team in the Girvan area. Enjoy flexible working, holiday pay, ongoing training, and the opportunity to gain valuable experience with the potential for permanent positions.

Duties include supporting clients to develop the skills and confidence needed to progress towards independent living, completing strengths and needs assessments, and promoting meaningful daytime activities.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months' paid experience in a support worker or care role.
• Excellent communication skills with tact, empathy, and sensitivity.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and confidently manage challenging behaviour.
• A flexible approach to working shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support clients to develop the skills and confidence needed for independent living.
• Complete strengths and needs assessments with clients to identify goals and required support.
• Encourage participation in daytime activities including training, volunteering, employment and healthy lifestyle activities.
• Provide person-centred support while promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing.
• Build positive relationships with clients and collaborate with colleagues and partner agencies.
