Job summary

City and County Healthcare Group Ltd is currently seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join the Maidstone Complex SCP team in Gravesend. You will support a young adult with cerebral palsy in a 2:1 care package, managing PEG feeding, medications, and personal care, and you may drive the client’s mobility car as needed.

The role offers full training, DBS paid by us, and clear progression into leadership roles within a people-first care culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex care is essential.
• Experience with PEG feeding, medication administration, and moving & handling equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of eye gaze technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage PEG feeding, medication administration, and personal care for a young adult client.
• Assist with mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment and transport client using vehicle.
• Provide companionship and support with outdoor activities and routines.
• Follow care plan and report changes to the package manager.

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Support Worker in this 2:1 package.

The client is a young adult who has cerebral palsy, and due to this, the client would require management of his PEG feed, medication and personal care, you will also be required to drive the client's vehicle as he has a mobility car and he is a wheelchair user.

He is an avid fan of Pokemon, exploring the outdoors and wildlife, shopping trips and watching YouTube videos.

Qualifications

Experience in complex care would be essential, especially in the following with the clinical inventions prior to be offered an interview with our package manager:

• PEG feeding
• Medication administration
• Moving & Handling Equipment
• Knowledge of eye gaze technology
