Job summary

Cheshire East Council’s Care4CE Mental Health Reablement team in Crewe is seeking two permanent Senior Support Workers. You will manage your own caseload, provide one-to-one support in the community, and help adults with mental health and related issues to increase independence.

The role emphasises person-centred support, flexibility, and reliable attendance, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional early evenings as required.

Qualifications

  • The Mental Health Reablement team supports adults with mental health or substance issues for up to six weeks.
  • Role involves one-to-one community support and helping with housing, debt, education and social inclusion.

An exciting opportunity has become available to work within the Care4CE Mental Health Reablement team in Crewe. There are 2 permanent FTE (37hr) Grade 6 Senior Support Worker positions. The team primarily work Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, although some early evenings may be required. The service is based at Delamere House in Crewe but covers the south of Cheshire East. About the role: The Mental Health Reablement team provides short term (up to 6 weeks) practical support to adults who are experiencing mental health issues and/or drug and alcohol related issues. The successful candidate will be expected to have a caseload and provide one-to-one support in the community. This may include support with debt management/budgeting, housing issues, education, employment, social inclusion, leisure activities, etc. The support focuses on coping techniques, increasing self-esteem and confidence, promoting social inclusion and goal setting to support people to maximise their independence.
