Job summary

Thornbury Community Services is seeking a Mental Health Support Worker in the Wrexham area to support eight individuals with mental health needs in a supported living setting. You will deliver person-centred assistance, promote wellbeing and help residents gain life skills and independence while engaging with the local community.

You'll work as part of a dedicated team, building trust and collaborating with families and professionals to achieve personal goals and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health or social care
• Person-centered approach and commitment to helping others
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay calm, adaptable and positive in challenging situations
• Commitment to promoting independence, dignity and choice
• Full UK driving license (desirable)

Mental Health Support Worker

Location: Wrexham

Contract Options Available:

• 24 Hours Per Week (2x 12 hour shifts) – £16,640 per annum
• 36 Hours Per Week (3x 12 hour shifts) – £24,960 per annum

We are looking for caring, committed, and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our Supported Living team, supporting eight individuals with mental health needs to achieve their goals, build confidence, and maintain their independence. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering people to live independently within their home and local community. You will provide person-centered support that promotes wellbeing, recovery, choice, and inclusion.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will support individuals to develop life skills, achieve personal outcomes, and manage their mental health in a positive and meaningful way
