Job Type: SupportWorker

Location - Clapton North, London

Contract Type - Full Time 36.5 hours per week

Salary - £15.50 - £16.50 per hour DOE

About the Role

Our client is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join their team, providing practical and emotional support to Veterans living in the Clapton North community.

You will play a key role in helping ex-Service men and women maintain their independence, improve wellbeing and stay connected to their local community. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of those who have served our country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person centred support to Veterans, including home visits, welfare checks, and advocacy.
  • Assist with access to housing, healthcare, benefits, and community resources.
  • Work closely with local agencies, health professionals and Veterans' organisations.
  • Encourage social inclusion through local events, peer groups, and community activities.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and contribute to support plans and risk assessments.
  • Promote dignity, respect, and independence at all times.
About You
  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults or individuals with diverse needs (experience with Veterans is a plus).
  • Strong communication, listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Empathetic, patient, and non-judgemental approach.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of local services in Clapton North and surrounding areas (desirable).
  • A valid driver's licence or ability to travel across the community as needed.
