Active Care Group is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist a gentleman with severe brain injury and vision loss. You will provide person-centred daily living support, accompany him to activities, and drive his Motability vehicle as part of a small, supportive team.

This full-time role offers a two-week rota with daytime shifts and sleep-ins, training provided, and a friendly environment focused on independence and quality of life.

Formación

• Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, flexible and able to work independently.
• Experience in care or support work is beneficial but training will be provided.

Responsabilidades

• Provide person-centred support with daily living activities at home and in the community.
• Accompany client to appointments, activities, and outings to promote independence.
• Drive the client’s Motability vehicle and coordinate with the wider support network.
• Work as part of a small team to deliver consistent, compassionate care.

Support Worker Falconwood, London £18.80 per hour (daytime) £20.80 per hour (weekends), £12.71 per hour for sleep-in night shiftsLooking for more than just another care job? We're recruiting a Support Worker to join a small, dedicated team supporting a gentleman who sustained a severe brain injury and loss of vision following a road traffic accident. You'll play a key role in helping him maintain his independence, participate in activities he enjoys, and live life to the fullest.

What you'll be working:

This full-time position averages 35 hours per week and follows a two-week rota pattern, including a mixture of day shifts and sleep-in nights.

The team generally works 24-hour shifts, with day shifts running from 6:00am to 10:00pm and sleep-in support provided overnight.

What you'll be doing:

You’ll provide person-centred support with daily living activities both at home and in the community.

This includes accompanying the client to appointments, social activities and outings, supporting his independence, and helping him manage his daily routine.

You’ll also drive the client’s Motability vehicle and work closely with his wider support network, including family members.

What you’ll bring:

You’ll need:

• A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months
• No driving convictions (insurance requirements apply)
• Confidence driving and accompanying the client on journeys
• The ability to travel independently between locations
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• A genuine commitment to supporting someone to live an active and fulfilling life

Previous experience in care or support work would be beneficial, but full training and ongoing support will be provided.
