Job summary

The Squirrels, part of the Cygnet Group, is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join our team. The role involves 12-hour day shifts on a 7-day rota, with hours starting as early as 7:00 am and finishing around 10:00 pm, across a 42-hour contract.

We value person-centred support, independence, and community integration for adults with autism and learning disabilities. DBS check will be required for successful applicants.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities or working in a care setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and support residents.
• Commitment to person-centred care and promoting independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to adults with autism/LD at The Squirrels.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and community integration.
• Support activities and interactions across a 7-day rota.
• Record observations and communicate effectively with the team.

About the Role

We are offering a

42-hour permanent contract, working

12-hour day shifts across a

7-day rota, including approximately

Shift patterns vary, with some starting as early as

7:00 am and others finishing at

10:00 pm.

The Squirrels is a specialist residential service for adults with autism and learning disabilities, who may present with behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care, promoting independence and community integration.
