Dane House in Brighton seeks a dedicated Support Worker to assist residents with learning disabilities or autism, delivering compassionate care and supporting recovery journeys.

Residents may also have profound and multiple communication difficulties, sensory impairments and physical health problems.

What You Will Be Doing

You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with Learning Disability and Autism conditions, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.

Your day-to-day will include providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.

This is a permanent, full-time employment, 37.5 hours a week, working on rotas with shifts between the hours of 7am and 10pm, including every other weekend.

Location: 52a Dyke Rd Ave, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 5LE

Dane House is situated in Brighton and provides six en suite bedrooms, there are also lounges, a dining room and kitchen alongside a large garden. There is an excellent range of community facilities and amenities close by. The service is situated a short walk from the sea. Brighton has direct train access to London and the M23, M25 and A23 motorway.
