1a Upper Brighton Road Surbiton is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join a female-focused team caring for residents with mental health conditions. The role is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours), on-site, with shifts from 7am to 10pm and every other weekend.

You will provide day-to-day support including personal care, monitoring wellbeing, and helping residents on their recovery pathway, in a compassionate, vigilant environment that recognises teamwork and professional development.

What you will be doing

You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people witha range of Mental Healthconditions, usingyour knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.

Your day-to-day will include providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.

We are looking for a female Support Worker - this is for assist the female residents in the most efficient manner.This is a permanent, full-time position, 37.5 hours a week, working on shifts, half day or long days, between the hours of 7am and 10pm, including every other weekend.

Where you will be working:

Location: 1a Upper Brighton Road, Surbiton, Surrey, United Kingdom, KT6 6LQ
1a Upper Brighton Road is a nine bed, mixed gender community based home. The people who are supported at 1a Upper Brighton Road have severe learning disabilities, autism and behaviours which, due to their diagnosis may be seen as challenging. Residents may also have profound and multiple communication difficulties, sensory impairments and physical health problems.

People may come to 1a Upper Brighton Road as part of their care pathway, either moving on from their residential school placement or moving from their community placement or the family home because they require more structured care and support. The service is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by a dedicated team made up of the Registered Manager and Support Workers. All residents are registered with the local GP which allows access to specialist clinicians.
