Job summary

Dane House in Brighton, part of Elysium Healthcare, is hiring a Support Worker to join a compassionate team delivering high-quality care to residents with learning disabilities and autism. You will support daily living, monitor behaviours, and help residents progress toward a fulfilling life.

The role is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours), with shifts between 7am and 10pm and every other weekend. A comprehensive benefits package and ongoing training are provided.

What you will be doing

You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with Learning Disability and Autism conditions, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.

Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.

This is a permanent, full-time employment, 37.5 hours a week, working on rotas with shifts between the hours of 7am and 10pm, including every other weekend.

Location: 52a Dyke Rd Ave, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 5LE

Dane House is situated in Brighton and provides six ensuite bedrooms, there are also lounges, a dining room andkitchen alongside a large garden.There is an excellent range of community facilities andamenities close by. The service is situated a short walk fromthe sea. Brighton has direct train access to London and theM23, M25 and A23 motorway.
