Job summary

VOYAGE CARE in Bradford is seeking a Senior Support Worker to help lead our residential service and support individuals to gain independence. You will assist the Manager with daily supervision and the smooth running of the service.

The role requires previous Senior Support Worker experience and the ability to support individuals with enhanced needs, including behavioural, mental health and learning disability support.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker.
• Experience working with individuals needing enhanced support.
• Experience with behaviours of distress, mental health conditions and learning disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager with day-to-day supervision and service management.
• Allocate shifts and arrange training for staff.
• Induct new colleagues and support supervision.
• Order medications and support residents with finances.

Senior Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We're currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our residential service in Bradford. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people! As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision's, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You'll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We're interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions and learning disabilities.
