Elysium Healthcare is hiring a Support Worker for School House in Sunbury-on-Thames to provide compassionate care to residents with mental health conditions. You will contribute to a supportive team, delivering patient-centred care and participating in ongoing training to advance your career.

The role involves ward rounds, behaviour assessments, and updating records, with shifts between 7am and 10pm, including weekends. A permanent, full-time position with 37.5 hours per week is offered.

What you will be doing

You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people witha range of Mental Healthconditions, usingyour knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.

Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.As well as supporting individuals who have a learningdisability or who are autistic, we are specialists inworking with additional complex needs.

The service is staffed 24 hours a day by a dedicatedteam of Support Workers, led by an experiencedRegistered Manager.School House is situated in Surrey and provides nine ensuite bedrooms, and a self-contained flat. There are twolounges, one of which includes a sensory room, as wellas a dining room, kitchen and surrounding garden.The local area has an excellent range of communityfacilities and amenities including parks and gardens.This is a permanent, full time position with 37,5 contracted hours a week, working on shifts between the hours of 7am and 10pm, including weekends on rota.
