Potens Group’s Olive Tree service in Blackburn is looking for compassionate Support Workers to assist people with various disabilities in their homes and the local community. You will help promote independence and engagement in daily activities.

The role offers 32 hours per week at £12.71 per hour, with a contributory pension, an Employee Assistance Programme, and learning opportunities. Driving is essential, and female applicants only may be considered due to service needs.

Formación

• Experience in care or support roles preferred.
• Ability to work independently and be well organised.
• Good interpersonal skills and a caring nature.

• The people we support have various disabilities such as learning disabilities, mental health needs or complex needs with some behaviours perceived to be challenging.


• This isn’t just any role; it greatly impacts the lives of the people we support.


• You'll support on a 1-1, 2-1 or shared basis, promoting independence and to gain confidence within the community and in their own home.


• Working to maintain a high level of support that’s required for the service needs.


• Participate and be as enthusiastic about their likes and wants as they are.


• Driving is essential.


• This role is within a domiciliary service, based within the home and community.
