Job summary

Care By Us is seeking caring Care Assistants to join our team delivering compassionate in-home care across Bishop's Stortford and surrounding areas. The role offers weekday and weekend shifts with pay of £12.60 per hour on weekdays and £13.00 per hour on weekends, plus guaranteed hour contracts where available.

You will look after service users on a one-to-one basis, following individual care plans and assisting with personal care, medication and daily tasks to maintain independence and dignity.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care assistant role is useful but not required.
• Weekend availability is essential.
• Driver who owns a car is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one care to service users in their own homes.
• Assist with personal care, bathing, dressing and continence.
• Support clients with medications, mealtimes and daily activities.

Location: Bishops Stortford and surrounding areas

Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour weekdays and £13.00 per hour at weekends

Shifts:

• Mornings 9am until 2pm
• Days 8am until 4pm
• Evenings 4 or 5pm until 9pm

Must be available to work weekends.

Due to the nature of this role, a car driver/owner is essential.

Care Assistant: Role & Responsibilities

Our care assistants are the extraordinary people who do the everyday things that mean so much to our clients. Supporting them to live safer and supported lives in their own homes, you’ll follow individual care plans and assist with personal care, helping clients to bathe, dress, manage incontinence, use the toilet and supporting them with their medication. You’ll also help with practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes and housework.
