Job summary

Care By Us is recruiting caring Care Assistants to support clients in their own homes across Bishop's Stortford and surrounding areas. You’ll follow individual care plans, assist with personal care, meals, and daily tasks to help clients maintain independence and dignity.

We offer flexible hours, weekend shifts at higher pay, paid training, and progression opportunities. A driver’s license and own car are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Compassion, resilience and a willingness to learn are essential.
• Previous experience in a care assistant role is useful but not required.
• You will need to be reliable, patient and caring in order to support service users effectively.

Responsibilities

• Follow individual care plans and assist with personal care.
• Help clients with shopping, mealtimes and light housework.
• Provide companionship and monitor wellbeing while promoting independence.

Job description

Location:Bishops Stortford and surrounding areas

Pay Rate:£12.60 per hour weekdays and £13.00 per hour at weekends

Shifts:

• Mornings 9am until 2pm
• Days 8am until 4pm
• Evenings 4 or 5pm until 9pm

Must be available to work weekends.

You will be looking after our service users on a one to one basis.

Due to the nature of this role, a car driver/owner is essential.

Care Assistant: Role & Responsibilities

Our care assistants are the extraordinary people who do the everyday things that mean so much to our clients. Supporting them to live safer and supported lives in their own homes, you’ll follow individual care plans and assist with personal care, helping clients to bathe, dress, manage incontinence, use the toilet and supporting them with their medication. You’ll also help with practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes and housework.
