Job summary

Cygnet Oaks in Barnsley is seeking a confident Care & Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care. You’ll work 42 hours a week across Days, Nights and Weekends in a Level 2 Rehab setting with male mental health service users.

You will provide enhanced care, guidance and emotional support, maintain a safe environment, and contribute to a multidisciplinary treatment plan. An enhanced DBS check is required and we offer an apprenticeship scheme to support learning.

We are looking for a confident Care & Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

You'll be working 42 hours a week (Days Nights and Weekends) in a Level 2 Rehab setting working with male mental health client group at Cygnet Oaks.

Cygnet Oaks is a 35 bed service specialising in high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) for men, providing a multi-disciplinary treatment programme designed to assist individuals with their return to independent living.

Depending on the individual's level of need, at Cygnet Oaks we provide different levels of support in 2 wards, the Lodge and the House;

• Lodge- this is a 20 bed admission ward where most service users will start their recovery journey at Cygnet Oaks. Individuals who are admitted to this ward are generally stepping down from an acute or a low secure service
• House- a 15 bed service for individuals to continue along their care pathway. The Lodge also contains a 4 bed step-through service. This is situated in its own corridor and has a separate living space to prepare and develop individuals towards a community placement whilst still having input from the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).

Your Day-to-Day

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all our service users, patients & residents
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with medical & welfare needs and report as required
