Job summary

Carlisle Mencap is seeking a capable Team Leader to supervise the support worker team, ensuring person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities. The role requires leadership, strong record-keeping and collaboration with external agencies.

The position supports 16 hours with the potential to extend to a full-time 37.5 hour post, and involves supervising shifts, staff development, and safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the support worker team ensuring service users receive person-centred care.
• Support service users in decision-making and promote independence.
• Supervise rota planning and safe shift coverage with the Service Manager.
• Monitor medication administration and ensure policy compliance.
• Conduct staff supervision, training and performance reviews.
• Contribute to/attend reviews and multidisciplinary meetings.
