Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Support Team Assistant to join our busy MRI team at RDH.

You will be responsible for supporting the service through a variety of duties, including physical, technical, caring, and clerical tasks, under the guidance of radiographers and in accordance with Trust Policies and Procedures.

The role requires participation in a 7-day rota, covering shifts from 08:00 to 20:00, with a cross-site element to support service needs.

The Support Team Assistant will collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary Imaging team, including medical, nursing, and Allied Health Professionals, regarding diagnostic imaging.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain patient flow to and from the MRI area.
  2. Work effectively as part of a team to ensure efficient service delivery.
  3. Accurately complete all clinical and related documentation as required.
  4. Follow policies and protocols of the local work area, imaging directorate, and Trust, maintaining tidiness and efficiency in work areas, and assisting other areas as needed.
  5. Ensure the care and comfort of patients in the Radiology Department, respecting their privacy, dignity, and cultural and religious beliefs.
