Job summary

Gather and Gather, part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting a Support Services Manager to lead hospital support services from Nottingham to Towcester with travel across sites.

The role requires strong leadership, budget oversight, and compliance with healthcare regulations. You will manage a busy catering operation, coordinate multiple service areas, and drive continuous improvement while delivering excellent service and stakeholder engagement.

• Manage a busy B&I catering operation, including a café and full food service offer, serving up to 600 covers per day.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations, including site support, administration, finance, and compliance activities.
• Manage and oversee cleaning, catering, retail, portering, pest control, and security services.
• Ensure service excellence, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across all service areas.
• Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Manage budgets and supplier relationships effectively.
• Lead and motivate diverse teams to achieve high performance and operational excellence.

Location: Field based covering Nottingham to Towcester with paid travel

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: 5/7 but mainly Monday to Friday, 7:00-16:00

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a busy B&I catering operation, including a café and full food service offer, serving up to 600 covers per day
• Oversee day-to-day site operations, including site support, administration, finance, and compliance activities
• Manage and oversee cleaning, catering, retail, portering, pest control, and security services
• Ensure service excellence, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across all service areas
• Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and customer satisfaction
• Manage budgets and supplier relationships effectively
• Lead and motivate diverse teams to achieve high performance and operational excellence
• Liaise with client stakeholders and site management teams as required
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards
• Support the delivery of company objectives while maintaining high standards across all services
