Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is recruiting for Support Practitioners in Castle Douglas. No prior care experience is required; training is provided, including a fully funded SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care. Please note this position is female-only and requires a UK driving licence with access to a car.

Role is full-time (36 hours/week) across 5 shifts over 7 days, with evening and weekend work. Benefits include travel payment, fuel allowance, and in-house training opportunities.

Qualifications

• No previous care experience required; we recruit on values and transferable skills.
• Fully funded SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
• Applicants must be female and hold a UK driving licence with access to their own car.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to live independently in their own homes.
• Assist with medication, general housework, meal preparation and personal care.
• Provide social support and accompany individuals to hobbies/events and participate in activities at home.
