Job summary

Turning Point Scotland’s Dumfries & Galloway Learning Disabilities Services is hiring Support Practitioners across full-time, part-time and relief roles in Castle Douglas, Dumfries, Kirkcudbright, Lockerbie and Newton Stewart.

Roles involve tailored support, one-to-one or team delivery, accompanying people to activities and providing personal care with dignity and wellbeing. Sleepover shifts are paid at £107.60 each; IT skills are required and eligibility to work in the UK is essential.

Qualifications

  • IT skills are required for all vacancies.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • SSSC registration within 6 months of start date where applicable.

  • Deliver support one-to-one, alongside others and as part of a larger team.
  • Accompany the people we support to community activities, groups, holidays and shopping trips.

At Turning Point Scotland’s Dumfries & Galloway Learning Disabilities Services we have exciting opportunities available for Support Practitioners.

About Us

Our Dumfries & Galloway Learning Disabilities Services are located in the following areas: Castle Douglas, Dumfries, Kirkcudbright, Lockerbie and Newton Stewart

Each 24/7 Service supports people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, on the autistic spectrum & have mental health issues. The hours are varied to meet the needs of each person and will include sleep over shifts (paid at a rate of £107.60 per sleepover!)

Our dedicated Teams encourage the people we support to fulfil their lives with exciting and fun activities, pursue their hobbies and passions, and help create memorable experiences.
