Cornerstone Community Care in Peterhead is seeking a part-time care assistant to support eleven individuals living in shared flats. Your role offers paid training from day one, with funded SVQ qualification and fees covered, plus PVG and SSSC costs paid.

You'll become part of a friendly, warm supportive team providing support to eleven amazing individuals in their own flats within a shared purpose built environment. This is so much more than a job, it's about building meaningful relationships, celebrating achievements (big & small), supporting independence and creating memorable experiences. Whether you're supporting someone to prepare a meal, achieve a personal goal, enjoy a favourite activity, try something new or simply feel heard and understood, you'll play an important part in helping them live a full and valued life.
Your hours will usually be spread over 4 or 5 out of 7 days and will include early mornings, days and evenings. Public holidays and weekends would also form part of your work schedule on a rotational basis.
Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
