The role

At Cornerstone, everything we do is centred around supporting individuals to live the life they choose. We work alongside the people we support to help them identify their goals and develop personalised support plans that reflect their choices, needs and abilities.

As a Support Practitioner, you’ll help individuals manage their own homes, build, maintain and increase their independence, and support them with their personal care, as well as their social, health and wellbeing needs.

No two days are the same. The people we support all have their own personal hobbies, interests and aspirations, so we’re looking for someone who can bring creativity, enthusiasm and a positive attitude. You’ll support individuals to take part in meaningful activities, enjoy their hobbies and access opportunities both at home and within their local communities.

Being a Support Practitioner is more than just a job, it’s a rewarding career where you can go home each day knowing you’ve made a genuine difference in someone’s life.

  • PVG costs covered
  • Annual SSSC registration fees paid
You’ll need to be:
  • Reliable and committed to delivering consistent, person-centred support
  • Calm and patient
  • Caring, compassionate and respectful
  • A good communicator who enjoys building positive relationships
  • Happy following routines, support plans and guidelines
  • Comfortable cooking and supporting with household tasks
  • Confident using computers and digital systems
  • Keen to learn and develop your skills
Shift Patterns

We’re dedicated to providing the best 24/7 support, so shift patterns will involve early mornings, days and evenings. Weekends, public holidays and sleepovers will also form part of your rota on a rotational basis.

The sleep part of a sleepover shift isn’t included within your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional payment for £107.60 per sleepover worked.
