Cornerstone in Peterhead is recruiting a part-time Support Practitioner to help a young man with autism in his own home. You will build a trusting relationship, support daily living, and assist with hobbies such as swimming and social outings.
No prior experience is required; training is provided and funded, including SVQ SCQF level 6/7, PVG and SSSC registration fees. A full manual driving licence is required for this role, and sleepover shifts include extra pay of £107.60 per shift.

You're in luck as our amazing #TeamHalliday in Peterhead are now on the lookout for one or two caring and reliable individuals to join them on a part-time (10-15 hours per week) basis.
As a Support Practitioner you'll become part of a small, friendly team who provides support to a young gentleman who has an autism diagnosis and lives in his own home.
You'll build a genuine relationship with him and be part of moments that really matter; whether it's providing support to cook a meal, achieve a goal, try something new or just feel understood.
In addition to supporting with all aspects of his daily living, you'll also support him with his hobbies and interests too, including swimming, walking, going to the golf range, outings, going for meals and drives in the car.

As the gentleman that we support has his own mobility car, we will need you to hold a full manual driving license for this particular opportunity.

As we're dedicated to providing the best 24/7 support possible, shift patterns for this team will usually fall into patterns of Monday-Friday 1515-2300 or 0700-0915 hours (includes a sleepover) and weekend shifts on a rotational basis; 0900-1600, 1600-2300 and 0700-0900 hours (includes a sleepover).
The sleepover part of a sleepover shift is not included in your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional £107.60 for each sleepover worked.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
