Cornerstone in Dundee is seeking a caring, flexible part-time care worker to support two individuals with complex needs in their own home. The role includes early mornings, sleepovers, weekends and varied activities to suit interests and routines.
Full driving licence is ideal but not essential; training is provided, SVQ support available, and there are progression opportunities within a supportive team.
We’re looking for a bubbly, caring and flexible female colleague to join our amazing #TeamBlackwood in Dundee on a permanent, part-time basis 16 hours per week.
You’ll support two lovely ladies with complex support needs in their own home, helping them live life their way. No two days are the same, with activities ranging from baking, arts & crafts and music to swimming, walks and days out. You’ll also provide support with everyday tasks such as cooking, personal care, medication and household routines.
A full driving licence and at least one year’s driving experience would be ideal, but it’s not a deal-breaker for the right person.
This role includes early mornings, days, evenings, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.
Our sleepovers are separate from your contracted hours, so you’ll receive an additional payment of £107.60 for every sleepover you work - giving you the opportunity to earn extra alongside your contracted hours.
Female is an Occupational Requirement for this position under the Equality Act 2010.
We are looking to fill this vacancy as soon as possible, so reserve the right to close our advert early if we find a suitable candidate before the closing date.
Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and have a commitment to working towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
