Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is seeking an Additional Support Needs Assistant (Temporary) to support pupils with additional needs across Renfrewshire schools. The role is term-time, part-time and temporary, and involves working with pupils in various educational settings.

You will assist in classrooms under the guidance of class teachers, with experience of Pre-5 to secondary age groups, and a demonstrable level of literacy, numeracy and ICT competence. A Disclosure Scotland check may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with Pre 5, Primary or Secondary age children.
• Demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience with ICT equipment and associated software packages.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with Additional Support Needs in schools and other establishments.
• Work under the direction of nominated class teachers and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
