Job summary

Thera Trust is seeking a proactive Support Manager to lead and coach teams, delivering person-centred support for people with learning disabilities. You will oversee multiple teams across locations, ensuring inclusive culture, regulatory compliance, and effective service delivery.

A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally are essential. Ideal candidates will have Level 4 Health & Social Care qualification (or SCQF Level 9), strong leadership and communication skills, and

Qualifications

  • Level 4 Health & Social Care qualification (or SCQF Level 9 in Scotland) or willingness to work toward it.
  • Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Experience leading teams and managing service delivery in regulated care.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach multiple teams within a defined area to deliver person-centred support.
  • Oversee performance, quality and regulatory compliance across services.
  • Build trusted relationships with people supported, families, local authorities and professionals.
  • Travel locally to operate across locations and support service development.

As the Support Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management and performance of several teams within a specific area. Leading teams to maintain an inclusive transparent culture that we are very proud of atThera Trustalongside robust regulatory, contractual and organisational compliance. The ability to Lead teams to support growth and development is the key to success as is the ability to build trusted relationships with people supported friends and Family, local authorities, TheraTrust central teams and healthcare professionals to drive positive outcomes for the people we support.

Skills and Experience:
  • Level 4 Health & Social Care qualification (or SCQF Level 9 in Scotland), or willingness to work toward it.
  • Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Experience leading teams and managing service delivery in a regulated care setting.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Confidence in using digital systems (e.g. Excel, care planning software).
  • Flexibility to travel locally and work across multiple locations.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and managing change.
  • A full UK driving licence with business insurance.
